The DeathAdder Elite focuses more on FPS games so just expect 5 standard buttons on it with the addition of a DPI button. Clicking the buttons feels very tactile thanks to Razer’s tried and tested mechanical switches. The scroll wheel is designed with RGB lighting on the sides and is also tiltable which makes it great for immediate weapon switching when using Torbjorn or Mercy.
There is also minimal clicking sound too which is great if you are tired with the repeated clicking noise especially when you are using high-skill DPS hero.
The DeathAdder Elite is one of the strongest builds by Razer. The build quality is extremely ergonomic thanks to its overall asymmetric design; the grooves along the left and right side makes holding the DeathAdder feel very comfortable. The whole mouse is coated in plastic but the sides are laid with rubber to give you that firm grip that you need.
The texture of the surface feels very smooth and the lighting is as impressive as ever. The cord is braided so there is no need for you to worry about loose connections in the future. Overall, the DeathAdder Elite got a very strong build quality.
The Razer DeathAdder Elite uses a 10,000 DPI optical sensor. While it may not be like the more personalized and customizable Naga Trinity that holds a maximum of 16,000 DPI, 10,000 DPI on the DeathAdder Elite is already beyond an average player’s grasp. In fact, the most ideal DPI for Overwatch is a range between 750 to 5000 DPI based on pro players’ mouse sensitivity alone.
Personally, I keep the DPI to just around 750 to 1000 DPI depending on the hero I am using.
On a side note, the DeathAdder’s scroll speed can reach up to 300 inches per second which makes it suitable for DPS heroes that need a good aim while maneuvering like Widowmaker, Genji and McCree.
It looks heavy at first glance but the DeathAdder only weighs at 105 g – not too heavy to make it more favorable for camping and sniping but not too light to make it irrelevant for a fast-paced first-person game like Overwatch.
The DeathAdder size is 5″ x 2.76″ x 1.73″ which makes it ideal for medium to large hands. Thanks to the rubber grips on the side, your hand will feel constantly rested even if you are doing your best to grind for a Platinum rank before the season ends. Whether you are a claw grip type or a palm player, DeathAdder Elite just feels right for your right hand.
The concaved thumb area makes it easy to press the side buttons while the convexed right side will not make your ring and pinky fingers feel numb.
The DeathAdder Elite uses the Razer Synapse software. However, it is more than just configurations and customizations. It also tracks down your stats and the average number of clicks on Overwatch if you activate its tracking system. Other than that, it’s all standard mouse software options: RGB color settings, DPI settings, and shortcut button mapping.
Overall, Razer did quite well with the DeathAdder Elite. In fact, it’s one of the best mice they have ever built. I highly recommend this if you mainly focus on DPS heroes.

The Logitech G903 has 11 buttons in total – each is programmable to your own liking. However, the G903 may be the best wireless mouse for Overwatch but the buttons themselves do not feel all that convenient, especially the thumb buttons; they suffer from a slightly stiff click. However, you would appreciate how wide the left and right clicks look. The scroll wheel also grips and slides responsively to your finger.
Korean players Joo-Hyuk “Bunny” Chae of Team CC, Jae-Hyeok “Carpe” Lee of the Philadephia Fusion and Yeon-Joon “ArK” of the Washington Justice gained popularity for using the Logitech G903. As long as it is not a laser sensor, you will be happy with its zero acceleration And scroll smoothing. You can also adjust the DPI resolution from a minimum of 200 to a maximum of 12,000.
For the professional DPI range, you will want to test out the DPI between 800 to 6,000 and see which works best for you. Just remember that only because a specific resolution works on one or two players does not mean it is automatically best for you too.
Like what was previously mentioned, the Logitech G903 measures at 110 g – which may feel too heavy for players that prefer mobile heroes like Tracer, Genji, Pharah, Winston or Junkrat but a weight worth of competition for Hanzo, Widowmaker, McCree and Ana mains.
The G903 works best for medium to large hands thanks to its bulky size and large click areas. You may need some getting used to with the overall handling especially if you are more relaxed with dedicated right-handed mice. Both sides of the G903 include 2 buttons each so you will need to practice playing with those on. But if you play ambidextrous, the G903 is a godsend. On top of that, you can use it with either a claw grip or a palm grip although it leans more to the claw due to the wide click areas of both left and right mouse buttons.
You will need to install the Logitech G program in order to configure your mouse. Besides the on-the-go DPI button on the G903, you can still manually set the sensitivity through digital settings. The software also includes 300 games that support the G903 – including Overwatch. You will certainly love how the colors automatically change to your selected hero’s palette! Now that is innovation.
It feels tough and iffy at first but the G903 comes very handily in the long run. While I consider all theses top mice, selecting the best mouse for Overwatch will come down to personal preference. If you take your gaming seriously, I’d say pick up the Logitech G903 or the Logitech G Pro Wireless. The freedom to customize coupled with the ease during gameplay definitely sealed the deal for me. Although the The Razer DeathAdder Elite is also customizable, but not everyone likes the Razer Synapses software. The fact that both Logitech G903 and Logitech G Pro Wireless are free of wires (with no noticeable input lag) gives you less clutter, and no cable drag restrictions and no requirement for a mouse bungee.
